real GPS...tried with & without crlf
Yep, real GPS alright. Pasted the wrong code on the forum(it doesn't have the crlf on the device exe...)
After some research on the PPC mogul 6800 it appears there are several people having problems with the serial connections. I'm looking into GPSgate or some other means of 'priming the GPS'. While using the standard example you provided on the site for GPS the serial port opens and the buffer remains empty. Serial1.InBufferCount never equates to anything but 0.
We're using the most up to date ROM on the phone and checked the settings in the external gps in windows and port / baudrate are fine, the automatic handling of GPS data etc are all set accordingly.
