For the past few months, once a month, I've been google searching: "best paid android games".

I'll be sharing some of my purchases and I would like to invite anyone to share theirs as well. :)

One request, though... No freemium games, please.
Only freeware or paid software, so no ads or any kind of pay-to-win in-app purchases
.

Horizon Chase - Beautiful low-poly racing gem!

Need For Speed MW 2012 - Five years later, still one of my favorites!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.games.nfs13_row&hl=en

Warfare Incorporated - This one's actually freeware! A really addictive Command & Conquer clone.

Sonic The Hedgehog - The SEGA classic running on Christian Whitehead's carefully handcrafted "Retro Engine".

Now, for some shmups
hey! good to see you like shoot em ups! Me to, I play a lot of Galaga wars, and I like retro shooter too. I'm working on a shootem up myself right now, based on mthe same gameplay as galaga wars, my space invaders games did well so I'm hoping to expand on that with a series of games. Do you fancy being a tester for me?

I love shmups!! ;) :D

I would prefer read:

"I like the game of XXX", where XXX is a member of B4X!

rather than seeing how successful the "competitors" have.

:(
Why? I think we have the "Share My Creation" sub-forum for that exact purpose.

In a nutshell, this thread is about games NOT(ad-supported) that we like to play because they're fun, not because developer XXX made it.
If developer XXX made an incredible fun (paid/freeware) game, then of course it deserves to be here as well.

Because those apps are already known, famous enough, so I would prefer to see our friends' apps rather than those (those do not need publicity, those of the members yes).
This page is "findable" by everybody, not only by us.
I disagree. Good games deserve publicity.

Again, I disagree. Most people download freemium (ad-ware) games and ignore paid / freeware games, so I'm here to defend the "paid" business model.

Paid games are, in my opinion, superior quality, as they are not constrained by the business model of showing ads or buying items to win.

I prefer to pay a few dollars for something that will truly entertain me, than for rather something that will annoy me with ads and frustrate me with in-app purchases.

Sure, as a developer, I would love to make millions with those kinds of business practices, but in pair with being a developer, I consider myself to be an avid gamer as well.
I want to be respected as a consumer, so I'd rather pay for quality entertainment.

I think the freemium ones are popular because you don't have to pre-pay or have a risk to lose your money because you just went for a try out of a game.

If it has something additional you can still purchase it to unlock it (or not).

and as tds mentioned there are always exeptions of games that do well as payed only but they'll never reach the amount of installs as most popular freemium games.
