Android Question Terminate videorecorderapp

I am using the VideoRecorderApp in an application, in doing so, it creates an activity for the video recording. Upon completion of the recording, I'd like the VideoRecorderApp to terminate, but it doesn't. It continues running and returns to my main app.
Is there a way to terminate the VideoRecorderApp from within my app or another way to do this?

It is more than an activity. VideoRecordApp sends an intent that starts the default camera app. You don't have any control over the third party app behavior.
