Android Question Kiosk mode doubts

Hi guys...

I got myself a brand new (arrived today ) HUAWEY MEDIAPAD T5? which i want to turn into my main professional device... its running Android 8.0

I plan to create a kiosk app, so that no other usage may be possible. But this is something I've never dealt with before and so I have a few questions...

1-During development, what are the things I have to be aware, that can possible cause the device to come to a vegetal status?
2-Will the kiosk mode prevent system updates? will these break the kiosk mode?
3-During devepment, will I still be able to "bridge" the device?

I'm sure other questions and or doubts will come, but for now these are the firsts ones.

I've been over the kiosk related threads, but none adresses thé practicality of development.

Kiosk devices are expected to fulfill very few tasks. This is the whole idea. I recommend you to treat it as a development device that you can factory reset if needed.

Ok, so, can I still fake a kiosk mode? Meaning, can I still make my app to be launched at boot, and send it to background programmatically if I need to run another app? If so, how? (I guess by turning it into a launcher app?)

I'm not sure that I understand what you are trying to do. If you want your app to run in the background all the time: Background location tracking

Sorry, Erel, this is now deprecated...
My app will be a customized launcher, that will allow me to, in normal usage, launch only my apps.
Whenever I need other apps, I just chose the default launcher
