I would like to know, if someone has made a project to connect through the serial port to a scale to weigh food.

I'm a developer in the weigh scale industries...
I want to find a scale that I can easily connect to a tablet. and from my application to be able to use the tpv to receive the weights of the scale.

You need to get a scale with a serial output..
The string needs to be in continues mode..Transmitting the mass continuously..
Need to get a serial to Bluetooth converter like a Handy-port..
Connect to scale and pair with tablet..
Open a connections to the Bluetooth device,read the mass, and You are done..

which model / brand scale is the one you have used and has it worked well for you?

We use an ESP32 with an hx711 a/d converter for the one in the image..
Connection is via Bluetooth..
It is very stable and reliable..

We use all kinds of commercial scales with the Bluetooth dongle..The white unit next to the printer in the image.. and it is also very reliable ...
