Android Question 2.71 Layout Text Color Issue

I am starting a new project in B4A 2.71. I have started my first layout file and I can not set the Text color of the Text for my Buttons. I am using the ASUS with Android 4.0.3. If I open any other layout created from a previous version of B4A, the text colors work fine. However, the new layout files created in 2.71, show no text at all at runtime or in the Designer(on the devices screen). I have tried many color settings with no luck. The text is there but it's almost the same color as the button and makes it very hard to see it's there at all. Any idea what I am missing?

You might need to change the text color in the designer, the new version of B4A sets the color to DEFAULT, as opposed to BLACK, WHITE, etc, in some cases you will see what you described.

It was set to Default and I have changed it to Black, Red and many other colors and it does not change. Not even in the Designer screen displayed on the connected device. This is why I posted the question. If I open a layout file created with an older version, I can then select a new color in the designer and the changes are reflected on the screen of the connected device right away.
