B4J Question B4J - Pinning application to windows TaskBar

I've got the task showing up (Don't use "Utility" form....) but now, I have a user that wants to pin the application to the Windows taskbar (the good news, is he likes to use it ! ) but the application just shows up "Close" on the taskbar when you right click it.

I've found some posting that I need to alter "AppUserModelID" and found some C-code to match http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1907735/using-jna-to-get-set-application-identifier but I don't have a clue of how to make that work here in the B4J world.

I'm pretty sure others will want to be able to pin their applications too.

Can someone help me figure this out?

Have you tried to convert it to Windows EXE file with launch4j?

Yes, it's a known issue with lanuch4j. It can not do it..

I have done it for myself using the method described here: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/pin-files-windows-10-taskbar/

You can change the icon, which annoyingly doesn't take effect immediately.

It is a hack, but works. I don't know if I would want to roll it out for users though. Although if they are tech savvy and came across this page they would probably try it

Hi Steve. Thank you for the response. Your solution may work, but I want to achieve this with no end user action. I am sure it is possible, but my research has led me to believe there is a bit more to be done here (Setting ApplicationID etc.). Tried a few things, but have not resolved it as yet.
