I used this same demo:

I use the demo project inside this post https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/abmaterial-for-dummies-beginner-lessons.88346/post-559186 The only thing I changed was to comment out the following line of code which caused "unknown method" and which should be removed based on the accompanying...

with all major browsers (chrome, firefox, opera & Edge) and so far only Chrome works for me and the rest just show a "please wait" window with spinning circles.

How do I troubleshoot/debug such problem?

I used an incorrect port number. It now works in all browsers I tried.
