Wish Android Camera2

Hello,
Maybe this should have the "Wondering" prefix rather than "Wish".

Around December 2014, I seem to remember a lot chatter about Android's upcoming Camera2 API. I thought I saw discussions in these forms, but I can't find anything.

I see Internet discussions talking about various levels of support for Camera2 from manufacturers. is anything in the plan for B4A?

My initial hope is that the Camera2 library will allow pseudo-simultaneous preview images and picture taking from both the front and rear cameras.

I don't think the current Android Camera library supports real-time simultaneous front and rear camera access.

Does anyone have more detailed knowledge about Camera2 or if it is planned for B4A?

I guess that it will be wrapped at some point. However it is only supported on Android 5+.

any update on this feature? it would help immensely since it unlocks so many new features.
