Android widgets vs. Windows 10 live tiles

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but here it goes...

I would like to initiate a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of Android widgets vs Windows 10 live tiles, from a programmer's point of view.

I already know that from a user's point of view. A couple of years I intended to develop for Windows 10 (mobile and desktop) and I have some basic concepts of live tiles,, since I have a partial training in Windows 10 and C#. But, since I've never really worked on Window 10 project, due to the death of Windows 10 Mobile, I'm not aware of the complete technical details of live tiles.

At a first glance, and being a B4A beginner, it seems to me that the concept of Windows 10 live tiles is more technically advanced then the concept of Android widgets. I don't know, I simply don't like the way remote views are implemented on Android, they are so limited... On the other hand, Android support more types of graphical elements then live tiles, and so, tend to be aesthetically more pleasant then live tiles.

What do you think? The discussion is open...

Regards,
