Android Question Anyway to resize spinner item height?

Happy Halloween to our American members..

The spinner itself has height property and no problem with that, but when you touch it to
select an item, the drop-down (or pop-up) list displays the items in too large boxes, far
from each other and the list size becomes unnecessarily long.
Is there any way to shrink the items list by reducing the height of individual item box?

The item height should match the font size. You cannot explicitly set it.

Hi Erel and thanks for the reply..

cell phones are tight in area and the item height now is 3 times
the font height (size).. I thought this is big toll on the limited cell phone area. If I put 7 items
then will quickly fill the available area and a (More...) button appears.. let alone the unnecessarily
big item box.. 2 times the font will look better, unless this is a property (by design) of Android.
