apk's file path ?

I can get the apks name with "PackageManager.GetInstalledApplications"
but how can I get the path of the apk ?

The APKs are not accessible. You cannot access other apps data (unless it is stored in the storage card).

How do the applications that backup APKs work?

There are several that let you backup any install APK to a directory of your choice on a non-rooted device. Some how these apks have access to the APK, do they not?

I'm more curious than anything.

That information is found in a file called "packages.xml" located in the "/data/system" folder.
