Applications/Services not showing in HTC task manager

Has anybody experienced their apps/services not showing in Task Manager. HTC sensation.

Note that applications developed with Basic4android are exactly the same as applications created with Java.

Thanks for the reply. I understand this. I guess I am asking, what in a service application would prevent it be being shown in the task manager ?

I have a simple stub service app that toasts every 10 seconds, it shows up no problem. The other app that does not show, is using serial + phone libs.

Not a big deal, just curious as to this little anomaly.
