B4J Question B4A Communicating With B4J on Raspberry Pi

Hello

I have been asked to write an app that displays information on multiple screens. My idea is to write the control app in B4A and for the information to be sent to specific Raspberry Pi's running the display app written in B4J. At this point I have no experience of B4J or Pi's so am not sure of the feasibility of what I am suggesting. Any communications between the devices needs to be direct as the eventual location of the screens does not have access to any network or wifi.

All thoughts/suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Big Dave

How will the device connect to the Pi if there is no network available?

Erel

The only way I can see of connecting the devices together is with a direct wifi connection or Bluetooth. I have not established if B4J can use direct wifi or bluetooth yet but the pi can use a Bluetooth or wifi dongle. If these are possible options could you please tell me if B4A can connect to more than one device at the same time.

Many thanks for your help.
