B4a U.S. Users: want to network?

My apologies if I didn't post this to the right place. I wanted it to be B4a/Android-specific.

I've been developing software for over a quarter of a century. B4a is one of the best tools I have seen in a long time. A gem for the Android world. I'm very confident this is going to be very, very Big for Erel.

I'm in the U.S. I would love to be able to network with other users in the U.S., but I don't know who's out there. I'd be particularly interested in
hearing from:
- Users in the Northeast of the U.S.
- Any companies in the U.S. using this outstanding tool

It was suggested that maybe I start a LinkedIn group if people identified themselves.

why only in the U.S.? I think a LinkedIn or Facebook group would be interesting for all developers! I develop as a freelance developer for different platforms and based in Germany. In this day and age, which is dominated by telecommunications, internet and email, it does not matter for a developer network, where the individual members reside.

You raise a valid point, and we can keep it without boundaries. I think what's important, though, for valuable networking, is that we at least identify Where we are. That helps then in cases where you want/need to find a local resource. Just as I know well what companies in my area do .NET development, it would be extremely valuable to me to know what companies might eventually do Android development, using B4a.

That is a great idea (Dallas, Texas). Im a PHP developer but green with B4A.

To expand your networking idea:

It would be neat if a user can propose a project and other users can "join" to help with proposed projects. If enough joined then that project would get its own dedicated sub forum. It could help noob and seasoned developers alike. i could see it becoming a headache for the admin tho, but it still would be neat. Just thinking out loud or too much red bull.

Mike in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Spent many years with HB++ for Palm. It was a great Basic for Palm tool. I just love B4A. So familar and it WORKS to boot! Great community with lots of help and knowledge. Just waiting for 3.0 devices before I lay more money down non hardware. Currently have a A81 running 1.6 that I bought less than 12 months ago - can't do a damn thing on it (doesn't support loading new apps)... Thank heavens for the solid emulator to develop on.

I'm in the Seattle area. Started getting paid to program back in the 80s on mini-main frame. Worked on vb since version 3 and still think version 6 is the best. Know java good enough to program basic apps. I also believe this will be big.

I like the facebook idea. I have a linkedin account but never use it.
