I recently installed Linux Mint in a Virtual Machine, and tried using the B4J Bridge with it. However, when I start the B4J Bridge, I get an IP of "10.0.2.15" and I can't connect to it.
I am having the same problem. I am running B4J-Bridge in Ubuntu Linux under Virtual Box on a Windows 10 laptop whilst running B4J on a second Windows 10 laptop that I am using for my main development computer. Both laptops are on the same WIFI network. B4J says it can't ping the IP address given to me by B4j-Bridge (10.0.2.15). I then tell B4J I want to use that IP anyway and it never connects to B4J-Bridge.
Tried to ping it. Ping timed out 4 times and gets no response. Under connection information, Ubuntu shows me the following:
IP address: 10.0.2.15 (Same IP address B4J-Bridge gave me. No response from ping to this address)
Broadcast address: 10.0.2.255 (Ping timed out on this one)
Default Route: 10.0.2.2 (Ping timed out on this one)
