hi,

@susu gave me a very good idea.

after hard work and publishing our apps to the App store/Google Play we are not always getting the result we were expecting.

so what should we do? of course Promotion! But ads promotion cost money, there are few free options like Tap4Tap, but after trying it out i had very poor results.

so after thinking about it, b4x got 75k+ members, we all here have developed lot of great apps why not using our apps to promote each other app??

if only 1% will join this project that means 750 members with a daily traffic of 10 users = 7500 ads not bad i think, so what we will do is show each other ads for the first 60 seconds after app launch and then switch back to admob or another advertiser so we will still making few $ from our apps.

this service will be FREE of course, and i will be ready to make everything (b4i/b4a class + b4j dashboard app for statistics like: clicks, views,...) if there will be enough interest.

so what do you say?

Please write also how many apps you are ready to put for this project, for example i have about 50 apps online, i am ready to use about 20 of my apps. (as more apps will join as more traffic we will get!)

In ad network, they will show banners base on bid. The higher bid will be show first. In our B4X network, what we will use to calculate to show banners? Random huh?

How about this: If my app show banner 1 time, I will receive 1 point. If I want to show my banner in other app 1 time, I will use 1 point.

i thought about, as more apps of every developer will use this service as often his ads will be shown.
the reason for that is to get as much traffic we can.
i know its not so accurate because 1 app could have traffic more then 10 apps of someone else.

what do you say about this, calculate the traffic of each app, like the class could count how many times a specific app was launched (how many times activity_create "Firsttime = True" was raised) and like this put the ads of this app to a higher position of the list.

this is tap4tap strategy, right?
Not exactly, in Tap4Tap you show ad 1 time you earn 1 credit but you need 2 credits to show ad in other apps.

Interesting Idea!

Simply cycling the ads through should be enough. More apps = more users. For a single app there could be hundreds of users. If one app does really well then it will help the other apps by showing more ads.

For example:
10 apps with 1 ad each = 10 ads to serve
1 app has approx. 10 users (this is really conservative and I'm sorry if your app has less than 10 users actively using your app)

So, 10 ads x 10 users = 100. Each ad will be cycled 10 times. It doesn't have to be random - I shudder at the thought. Also, logically, you don't want to be showing an ad for the app that the user is currently using. So, in this simple example, there will be an app whose ad is shown twice within the cycle (assuming we are analysing a single app and how many ads it will show to 10 users)

As more apps are added and as the user base grows then ads are cycled more frequently. The more users the more ad coverage for all apps. Cycling through the ads from start to end should be enough. There doesn't need to be a point system and each app will get the same coverage as any other app.

Adding a genre or similar would be beneficial to the user so that they're seeing ads that are somewhat similar to the app that they're using/playing.

Either way, sounds too interesting to pass up - count me in!

I like the idea very much, and also the "Points" strategy, to which I would add, each added app would/could start of with 10 points upon registration/integration.
