Button_down event fires twice

Hi.
I don't know if this is phone specific but the button down event fires twice (sometimes, often) when I touch the screen (touch the button). I was looking for a vb mouse down mouse up type event. Have I mis-understood it's behaviour?

I could be wrong, but I think that may be the nature of the capacitive screen. I have noticed that if my finger hovers, not quite touching the screen, I can get a click event just from being close. Then if I go on to touch it, it fires again.

If you are moving your finger quickly onto the button and pulling it away and it still multi-fires, then that's obviously isn't your problem, but I thought I'd mention it.

The Click event is easier to handle in most cases and it will not fire multiple times.
