can you help me with a simple answering machine?

Hello.
I am new here. And I do not have so much experience in programming yet.
I have purchased the Basic4Android now and there is many good Torturials there, however, I would like to programme a simple answering machine. one wich always answers with a SMS.
Can you help me with a link or an example pleas.
It would be a great help to me.

Sending SMS messages is done with PhoneSms object from the Phone library.

When exactly do you want to send messages?

I have problems with the following parts of the programme.
I have no idea, how I can hang up a call directly.
And how I get the phonnumber of the caller into a variable, that I can further use it.

Hanging a call is problematic. See these discussions: Basic4android Search: hang call

You can get the phone number by listening to the PhoneStateChanged event with PhoneEvents.

i wrote the idea of my app. Sorry my english im Swiss.

The idea of the program is as follow.
It shall, if it is on on, react to all calls the same way, disconnecting immediately the call, and send SMS as an answer if a phone number is existing. This means,
if phone number is shown by the caller.
It should react thethe same way with SMS.
The Text should always be the same.
But there should be a weay I can change it from time to time.
The App should remain on even when it is not on the Top.


I hope this helps to understand what I would like to create.
