Just to share to luuuurve.
My HC-06 range was rubbish, I looked for a class one module, but they are expensive.
So I soldered a 62.5mm (half wave) piece of 1mm sq rigid copper wire onto the PCB antenna (just where is disappears into the green goo) and TRIPLED the range. More reliable connection and no drop out outs.
Proper antenna = proper performance.
