Android Question Checkbox box line colour

Hi Folks,

I've been searching the forum for a solution to whether it's possible to change the colour of the checkbox outline but, not had any luck. What I mean by this is the actual box itself. The app I'm developing has a Google Map and I want to display a checkbox option on the map panel to the user. However, unless I set the color to say something dark I can't see the checkbox. Is there such an option?

BTW - I'm creating the checkbox using code and not the Designer.

Does the first example actually change the line colour of the box?

I think it did when I tried it, I haven't used it but would be easy to try

Tried out the first one and it works perfect. However, hadn't realised it was for API 21 (Lollipop). No matter, I'll just skip this for Kit Kat and below devices.
