Android Question Detect car moving without GPS

Hi

is there a way (I assume using linear accelometer) to detect card is moving
(while GPS and Wifi is off)

You could try detecting if mobile phone masts you are connected to change... but this isn't a very fine method of movement detection.

The sensors can only detect accelerations. Accelerometers cannot detect steady movements.

You can try to use the accelerometer to detect the initial acceleration. However it will not be simple.
