You will have to set the colors yourself for each item instead of using the default

There are several ways to handle the differences. You can use the DEFAULT color (in the designer) for the views colors and test it in the UI cloud.

Another option is to force the old style by removing android:targetSdkVersion="14" from the manifest editor.
