B4J Question Does this in anyway affect B4J web apps?

I'm assuming not as B4J web apps aren't Java Applets. But just want clarification from @Erel.

That's correct. B4J applications / server applications are not related to Java applets.

I think that this is a good move from Oracle side. Java applets harmed Java reputation because of the endless security issues.

@Erel - Thank you Also agree with oracle on deprecating the plugin.

Even though this doesn't affect B4J Web apps, have you considered researching the "Go" language as a possible alternative to Java? It basically does the same thing as Java (Web, Desktop, Raspberry Pi, etc).

You could also implement "Go" in B4A as Go also targets Android, so the effort wouldn't be without reward
