Google is deprecating Android’s AsyncTask API in Android 11

    :eek: I just changed my Smartphone from a Samsung Android 4.4 to Android 9 (thinking "ah, Android 9 should be OK") and you talking about Android 11 :(

    I am not sure about the background workers but pretty sure b4a and the standard libraries dont use that api

    (I bought a device with Android 7 just over a year ago, updated it to 8 and... maybe in 10 years I'll buy another one! :D)

    That's true. There is an internal thread pool in B4A framework that is used by most background tasks.

    I'm smiling..yes Win7 :)
    my old laptop (bought in 2009), fixed many times (missed the screews), is still working.

    the good thing, I learned to have back up. :) just in case
