How do I read the response from a webservice

I am so new here. Tried my hands on Getting JSON data from server but can't read and parse the values to relevant fields. The idea is to have a server end to store my data and view into receptive fields on an android screen from a webservice call

I am trying to build my app from this sample below

At least am able to show the data on the screen with the ToastMessage but now am stuck with how to read it. I need help.

The response in this case is an XML, to parse it you will have to use XMLSax.
