I want to build and android app for my own use for now, but in the near future maybe build others to sell.

I would like to know how is your experience with B4A. Did it meet with your expectations? Are you developing faster and easier?

I've never payed for something like this and I have to be 100% that this is what I want and need before buying it.

Don't have to be very long, just a general idea of how are you doing whit it.

Any and all input is welcome!

Thanks everyone!

Cheers!

Excellent user interface, low learning curve, quick results! There is hardly anything that you cannot do with Basic4Android. And all of that for an excellent price.

What more can you ask for?

B4A is great, especially when you know Visual Basic or a similar programming language.

And it has a nice and comfortable development environment.

Its a good language that is still growing (like most good languages :)).

I was using it for porting a 2D game over, but the language isn't ready for that (at this time), so I am making my own engine, and its coming along slowly.

I haven't tried to use the other features much, others would be more knowledge in those areas.

Excellent experience so far

I've only purchased the software 2 months ago, a day after 12 hours of research into other 'paid' programming languages for Android. I come from a Delphi/ Pascal programming language (started w/ VB6) and was somewhat spoiled by the simplicity of the language and the plethora of components (controls in VB6) available. I tried to learn Java and kept getting frustrated because I'm just a hobbyist programmer (although I've sold a few of my programs, about 50 licenses/copies) and it seemed to be so many lines of code to do simple things. After all the research, I found these things to be stellar about Basic4Android:

1) Designer worked well
2) Price was AMAZINGLY reasonable compared to other commercial programs
3) The forum is SO active, all the time. I can't even keep up and I'm trying to learn all I can.
4) Additional libraries allow for extension of the basic abilities, which are pretty great already

I've made two programs so far that meet my needs (Math flash card app, dual-screen web browser with adjustable webView size) and have plans for many more, some even to be sold to local clients. I feel like the impossible was made possible with Basic4Android.

Thanks to this version of the BASIC language I was able to transform a program I earlier developed. I tried another similar product but B4A is easier to use and to program. See below a screenshot.

when I purchased this tool, I felt like a monkey who wouldn't share his banana. I never talked to friends about it out of Jealousy. but after joining
this wonderful forum, my attitude has changed. After all, the benefits I found
in the formun paid 10 folds the amount I paid for B4A.
In a word: you are lucky.
