how to inactivate (disable) talkback by program

good morning,
i have just purchased the entreprise edition of vour product basic4android ,
it semms to be very interesting.

but i have a problem

i want to develop application for blind people, in the normal use of the
mobile phone i(or blind people) must use talkback functions, my program use
a canvas to recognize letters and numbers which are drawed on the canvas on
the screen to be recognized.

but if talkback is actived i can't draw letters or numbers because talkbak
take the hand and forbids me to draw

can you give me example in B4A to desactivate and reactivate talkback when i
open my program and when i quit it thank you in adavance

It is not possible to completely disable talkback feature.

Can you post the code that you are trying to run?

how to surcharge talkback gestures

my question was not formulated correctly:

i explain i'll write an application:
- for blind people,
- they have Talkback activated for their current use of the phone
- my application is a calculator
-to enter a number or an operator we use a specific character recognition (we draw a number and it is interpreted by our program)

- Can I call this one gesture operation in the sense that the mean Android?

- Can I, in my application only redefine some "gestures" (function) of Talkback, they are not interpreted in my application when it is in the foreground.
And re-established them, when it is no longer in the foreground

Question:
if somebody called me while I use this calculator, I think the phone function has priority over my application (?) and passes it to the foreground.

I may need to check the address book to give to my interlocutor, an address or number. (talback it will work normally in this situation)

when I closed the address book, and hangs up, my calculator returns to the forefront with "gestures" defined by them and for them


my question is: are they the gestures global (to the system) and local (to the application)
Is it possible to specify the local or global character of a gesture?

Are you using the Touch event to recognize the gesture? Does TalkBack interfere with it?

There are no standard global (or local) gestures in Android.
