I use the command: to file)

i have add the FMODdevice.dll and the fmodce.dll (ARM4) to the application folder on device.

I've checked it too, and midi files are not supported on the device.
I'm sorry but it is not clear from the documentation.
You will need to convert the file to mp3 format.

    Edit: I've missed this readme...

According to the FMOD READMECE.txt file in the FMOD 3.75 zip "FMOD supports mp2, mp3 and Ogg vorbis in this release." I tried a MIDI file on the device and it didn't work :(
