I really should read pop ups properly

I had a pop up telling me there was a java update available.

Then I had one saying out of date versions were on my machine and did I want to remove them before updating. Yes I said.

The list it gave looked odd, I was sure I never had that many old versions.

I clicked remove old versions.

Sat there waiting for the update to start after it had removed the old versions ……

Then I thought maybe I need to tell it to start the update again.

At this point the little light flicked on in my head, why in the remove list had it added java 9 and java 10, along with old versions of java 8.

Start update clicked in java control panel …. Message - No application is associated with this link.

Ooops….. it seems like after installing Java 11 all previous major versions are out of date. It removed them all except java 11, which is odd as it was never installed as such, just copied to a directory and used from there.

So if you get a java update message and have Java 11 - please read what it wants to remove.

On the plus side I now have more disc space and everything still works fine using the new version of the B4J IDE.
