I'm a newbie with considerable computer web design training (nothing thus far with apps). After download of my newly paid for B4A, I attempt to configure the path to the top line on the Configuration window but I'm stuck.
When I use the browse button and go to the pathway:
C:\program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_162\bin I get the error message:
'C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_162\bin\javac.exe' does not exist. When I
navigate to the folders in the path I also find that there is no file
javac.exe. Any ideas anyone? Perhaps I downloaded the wrong java development kit.

P.S. I didn't know which of the Java development kits (JDK) to download so I chose the 32bit in the second list of the four lists (the jdk-8u162-windows-i586.exe). Perhaps that's my problem?
