Android Question Listen for notifications for the launcher

I couldn't get a notification to appear on the WhatsApp icon in the mini launcher; I tried everything, but it didn't work. For example, I couldn't get a WhatsApp notification to appear on the WhatsApp text in my launcher.
There are notification settings in the form, but I can't figure out how to display incoming notifications as a ring or square with its own icon or text. Can you help me?

Are you asking about a launcher app you downloaded from the Play store?
If you think it is a bug or you are suggesting a new feature, you should contact the developer.
