Hello,

Is there a way to broadcast a live video stream from the Android device camera, so that it is viewable remotely?

Thank you!

Thank you for the suggestion, I knew about this...

I'm a lot more interested in broadcasting a real video stream without any external connection (as in live tv), so that anyone could watch the steam. I guess a video stream after all is more data traffic efficient than sending multiple frames (still images) rapidly.

Any suggestions on that?

Thank you!
Adrian

+1 for the streaming video

but the multiple frames also is good idea, but unfortunately I am not familiar with C# so I wouldn't be able to benefit from it.
I hope the server be ported to B4J

There is an app called IP Webcam (link) which can be installed on an android device. This turns the camera into a cam. With a fixed IP you can log into the cam with a browser. I have tried it at home: phone => phone and phone => PC. It works well for streaming video. Any help to you?

Hi Mark, this app is good.
I'm looking in to developing something like this app which can stream video to my server.
I was hoping it was possible with B4A.
