Android Question [MCU] I need to know the pin names of a photocoupler..

It's weird that even Panasonic, the creator of this components doesn't show the pin names. I need urgently.
The part number is: Panasonic ON1105
Any help appreciated.

There a datasheet that displays pin numbers and functions.. but never mention which pin (in the package) is #1, and #2...etc.

Usually there is a dot in the corner that marks pin 1. Then they go counter clockwise from there. I'm not positive this is true in your case though.

Here's the datasheet, the pin outs are given on the first page, pin 1 is the Anode of the Photo Diode, and pin 2 is the Cathode of the Photo Diode, Pin 3 is the Collector of the Photo Transistor and pin 4 is the Emitter of the Photo Transistor.

I am switching to hall effect magnetic sensor instead..

Beja if you have a multimeter it would be real easy finding out which side the diode is on, you should get about 0.7 volts on the side of the diode, set your multimeter to measure diode, the black lead should go on the anode and the red lead should go to the cathode.

hope this makes sense.
