networking service issue

Dears,
i need help to route many clintes to my database residing on my pc using free hosted service as follows:
-my pc sends my current ip address to the service on the free hosting server
-any clint how connect to the service can get my current pc ip
-the clints then send quary to my pc and get the required result
Note:i use vb.net in my pc, the service should be written in asp.net or php

If you can work it out with php/mySQL, I suggest that you read Erel's mySQL tutorial.

Kindly, my application is to access simple database on my pc from multiple android smart devices remotly (simple store application) and these devices can get the new information about curren avalibilty, status ...etc of the materials, knowing that my pc and all the devices has internt access.

if the data resides on your local machine then why do you want to go around Cape Town? what's the function of the Internet service?
I would automate outlook or write a client app for people to install in their devices and send requests directly to my machine by email. the email function will be transparant to users of the app. just one solution among others.. another solution is your customers use your app to send text messages (SMS) to your server with embedded and formatted requests parsed and packaged into a text msg.

Dear Beja,
Internt Web Service is used to deliver my current ip address to the clints,Outlook application or sms application wouldnt be a practical because there will be alot of limitation and i prefere soct programming beacase (as far as i know) is easiar to implement.

Dear Erel,
can i send text file with less than 6Kbytes and 200Kbytes images using your B4A server example and if that is possibel please how can i do that.
