Android Question paths and file names with spaces in them?

Hi, how do I handle file names and paths with spaces in them? I'm using a few os related commands (copy and remove) and I'm getting file not found errors.

Do I put them in " " ?

Are you using shell commands?
You can wrap them in single or double quotes.

yes, I'm using the functions in mlfiles, cp and rm.

something like this would work:
"cp 'my file.txt' 'new file.txt'"

If it doesn't work then add a slash (\) before the space.
