PDA start and stop in the car

Is there a solution to get my PDA in de car started when I set on my car, and so my PDA get power on ac-line.
When I turn off the car, PDA should close because he has no ac-line any more.
Many GPS do work like this, and I will do it with my PDA.
I try the PowerNotify, but this can not do the job.
