iOS Question Push Notification to database

Hi,

I am tipping the answer to this question is, no, but will ask anyway..

I am using firebase push notifications in my B4i app, and wondering does anything in the B4i app get triggered when the push notification is received (when the app is not showing on the screen) ?

For example, Can I write the push notification to a database or work out what topics have been received while the app has been closed ?

No. The OS shows a notification and doesn't start your app. Silent notifications do start your app however they are not reliable.
