Push Notification while app closed

Hello,

Just wondering if I send a push notification to my device and I have the app closed (not running) I am guessing the push notification should not display?

What happens if the app is closed, then I send the push notification then open the app.. should it now display the push notification once the app opens?

The service will run even if the application was closed. It is up to you to decide what you want to do with it. You can store it in some file and then handle it when the activity is started.
