Question about Panel

Hello I have a doubt on the panel, it is mandatory to enter a panel of background when you create a new interface?
I know that the panel is useful for establishing a relationship with other objects, but I still doubt whether it is always necessary to insert it.

You don't HAVE to use a panel, Views can be added to the activity directly.

Activity.AddView()
