Program ca be compiled for your Device as well for the PC.

Features

  • Markup for a horizontal line.
  • Markup for 6 different headings.
  • Bulleted lists.
  • Tables with possibility of calculations of values. (evaluating code found on Basic4PPC forum from Jevin)
  • Adding pictures, selected or directly acquired from the camera of your device.
ToDo list (future features to add)
  • Completing Help info
  • Completing buttons and menus
  • Defining/selecting Wiki file location.
  • Encryption/Decryption of strings in a WikiFile

I use the following libraries:
  • Webbrowser.dll
  • Formlib.dll
  • Hardware.dll
  • fgDialog.dll (for dialog situations)
  • dzCameraCapture.dll (to acquire device camera)

looks like a nice start. question though: i use zim (Zim - a desktop wiki) as my desktop wiki app. would you be interested in adapting yours to use the same structure as zim? would it be possible so they could use the same data (text)?

thanks

Hi Steve,

First, I was not aware of the desktop Wiki Zim but it looks very impressive.
I am not sure of changing my app to the markup used by Zim.

It will take some effort in doing that and that markup is so much more tan I have at the moment.
Also my app can be compiled for the PC.

so, I am not sure about that.

QUESTION: Is ZIM Wiki meant to run only on Linux or can it also run on Windows, because that is my platform?

Regards, Rob

hi-
thanks for looking at it.

i could envision the ppc side as supporting only a subset of the wiki markup, but i didn't realize yours could be compiled for the pc side also. i'll talk a look at that too.

zim can run from the sources on linux and windows (i run the sources in windows so i can take advantage of the latest patches). but there is also a windows installation distribution located at

Zim Desktop Wiki Installer for Windows [Glump.net].

thanks again
steve
