Raise limit for upload size?

I realize we have a max size for uploaded files for a reason, but in some cases it sure would be nice to raise that limit.

Just now @JanPRO made available a library for collecting crash reports, which is just fantastic!

However, the file is 6.5 MB, so much too large for the forum. Instead he made the lib available using Google Drive, which was nice of him. But it's also a lot less secure. Who knows how long it will be available there?

I don't know if the forum software allow for such a thing, but perhaps users with high enough status (or whatever it's called, the "Well-Known Member" etc) would be allowed to upload larger files? Because they've been around for longer and can be trusted to not a 20 MB movieclip with funny cats?

1. The limit is currently set to 500kb.
2. It is technically not possible to set different limits to different members.
3. I don't see the limit being increased. If someone wants to upload a large library then they can send it to me and I'll FTP it to the server. Though it is better to wait for the library to become stable...
