I want to add some security features to my program. Is there any way that I can write a randomly generated number to the registry of a PDA and then later read that same value at startup?

Yes. You should use the Registry library.

This may sound like a dumb questions but do I already have this library or do I have to download it somewhere?

Choose Components - Add DLL and it will open the libraries folder.
You should add RegistryDesktop to the desktop and RegistryDevice to the device.
