I recently purchased @Informatix security guides for Android, and after reading them I want to recommend the forum to do the same.
He very clearly walks the reader through the steps of reverse engineering an example app, and shows how simple it is to look at source to understand the inner workings of the app. Then he walks the reader through two different methods of protecting our apps in a better way.
If you have sensitive data in your app, such as a password for instance, this will certainly make it a lot more difficult for hackers to look it up. This is great, get the guides you too.
