    I have a client who had been using a corded Symbol scanner, but recently upgraded to a Symbol MC3090. Some of his printed barcodes are prefixed with a % sign. On the old corded scanner, he set up a rule to skip the % if it was found as the first character. Now the % sign is showing up when scanning the barcode on the MC3090. I can't figure out what to do in ScanWedge to tell it to skip the % sign if it's found as the first character. Is this possible to do? Thanks for the help.

    Do you want to check if the first character is '%' ?
    This can be done with:
    Code:
    s = "%Some string"

    If StrAt(s,0) = "%" Then s = SubString(s,1,StrLength(s)-1)

    Thanks for the reply. I considered something like that, but I would prefer to not change the code at this point if there's a way to get around it with a Scanwedge setting. If you come up with anything else, please let me know!
