Android Question SDK Manager - google_apis vs google_apis_playstore?

What would be the difference between two platforms, one marked as "google_apis" and the other one as "google_apis_playstore"?

With the playstore one you can access Google Play.

Maybe you want to install a third party app on the emulator which your app depends on.

Ok. Thanks for the answer.... but I'm thinking... why then is an option to not install play store? wouldn't it be a good practice to install it, just in case it's needed in the future?

Better ask Google as they create the images.
