Select line in edittext

is it possible to by clicking on an edittext it can be possible to programmatically select the nearest line in the edittext?

I tried to implement it. However I think that it will not work reliably as it conflicts with the standard way that EditText work. You should look for a different solution.

This can be done using a custom keyboard with custom EditText views.

This is a bit of work to implement, so you have to really need this feature to make a custom keyboard/EditText worthwhile.
