    hello!!

I want to simulate a COM-port to send out of my own application an NMEA-protokoll. So it is possible to send GPS-data out of my programm to any navigation-programm like tomtom or google-maps.

    thanks

You can't simulate a COM port with Basic4ppc.
Some applications can read a file instead of a real connection.

    Virtual COM-Port

Thanks Wolfgang, for giving the link to build222.

Now i can understand how does it works.

I'm now looking for an tool like this for pocket-PC and Windows mobile. There are some tools on the market like VSPD_mobile, but they are exspensive and the test-versions have only limited datatransfer, so that it is not possible to test. VSPD can only send 100kb in the testversion to the virtual COM-Port and gives no recall, when the limit is reached.

If you have an idea for a freeware-tool, let me know...
