Socket & Variable saving examples

Hi, can someone guide me to examples in B4A for sockets.
1) I want to make an APP which can send data to the server and receive data from server and take care of expected errors etc.
2) Any examples where I can save the variables to the memory.

I have done a few searches but I am mainly ending up with more complicated examples than I can understand.

Is this a web server or a custom server?

It will be a custom server.

You should look for Network and AsyncStream (not in prefix mode). There are several examples in the forum.
