Speed units of gps tutorial

I used the b4a gps tutorial in my app. It displays the current lat and long, no of satellites accessed and speed. I tested out the speed and it was displaying numbers approximately half of actual mph. I could calibrate it but it would be simpler if I knew the real units being displayed. Anyone know?

Have you converted from m/s to km/h by multipliying with 3.6?
Then convert to MPH.
